NTC Thermistors ?

The functioning of the modern world depends to an enormous extent on electronic sensing components. Electronic sensing of various physical parameters is of critical importance in our lives, and temperature is perhaps the most important physical parameter for our comfort, health, safety and for efficient use of natural resources.
A variety of temperature sensors is available to operate from cryogenic temperatures, close to 0 Kelvin, to refractory temperatures in excess of 1500 Kelvin.

For temperature sensing applications that affect our daily lives, such as refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, healthcare, engine management and energy efficiency, the relevant temperature range extends from approximately -20°C to +500°C.
While there are many options for sensing applications in this temperature range, NTC thermistors are the most versatile and adaptable. Recent developments in NTC thermistor sensing elements, in packaging and in testing, now mean that NTC thermistor sensors can used over this full temperature range.

NTC thermistors have many advantageous features compared to other temperature sensors, including excellent electrical sensitivity, numerous physical and electrical configurations and mechanical and electrical robustness, so that they continue to be the most versatile sensors for critical temperature sensing and control applications.
